Career Opportunities Attorneys Patent Attorney Responsibilities: Work closely with client decision-makers and inventors to evaluate the patentability of inventions. Prepare and prosecute domestic and foreign patent applications. Conduct patentability, infringement/clearance, and validity studies, and provide related client counseling and opinions. Instruct non-U.S.-based law firms in the prosecution of patent applications in various jurisdictions. Advise clients on patent portfolio management and strategy. Research and stay current with changes in intellectual property laws and regulations. Participate in firm messaging, celebrating the creative process and the firm’s expertise through targeted digital communications. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science). Registered and in good standing to practice before the USPTO. Licensed and in good standing before a State Bar. Experience in substantive patent application drafting and prosecution. Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Hybrid remote/in-office schedule available, with full remote opportunities for experienced candidates. Trademark Attorney Responsibilities: Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide opinions on availability and risk. Prepare and prosecute domestic and international trademark applications. Manage and enforce global trademark portfolios, including oppositions, cancellations, and domain name disputes. Develop brand protection strategies and counsel clients on IP rights enforcement. Assist clients with licensing agreements, IP transactions, and due diligence. Stay current with changes in trademark law and advise clients accordingly. Participate in firm messaging and outreach to highlight the firm’s expertise in brand protection. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
